Your hair is a burning cupcake

Have you ever baked cupcakes? The temperature of the oven is normally preheated to 350 degrees.  A higher temperature will burn the cupcakes. Your cuticle is like a cupcake, don't burn it.

Keep the temperature low and do not go over 350 degrees. Handle it with love and care.

Occasionally it’s okay if we have to raise the temperature, I recommend 380-400 degrees Fahrenheit as the highest. If you touched it with your bare hands, it will burn the shit out of you…now imagine what it does to your hair. I’ve seen some clients give themselves haircuts because they singed their hair off.

Most temperature settings on a hot tool- such as a flat iron or curling iron, ranges from 400-450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lower the temperature to 350.

Use a thermal protector and do conditioning treatments (like Olaplex or a deep masque) once a week.

I also recommend titanium flat irons over ceramic. In my opinion titanium doesn't burn the hair as much, and it leaves a nicer shine.  But that’s my personal and professional opinion.
