Love and Flow

Love and Flow

Life has a funny way of working out…you attract exactly what you project.

Speaking shit into existence really works.

I wanted to open up Love and Flow Studio about a year and a half ago, but I was in the middle of planning/ paying for my wedding.

I was also trying to figure out my whole purpose with life in the process. I love being a stylist, but I wanted MORE.

At the moment, things just weren’t working in my favor for the following reasons:

1: The location I came across was in a flood zone.

2: All the money I have been saving was also going towards my wedding/future home. My boo had a lot of student loans…

3: When the fuck was I going to have time to do this?  I worked as a full time hairstylist and  I love my career.

4: Who I thought would support me actually didn’t.

Although I was slightly discouraged with the lack of support from myself and others, this helped me put things into perspective. The situation made me get my shit together to get myself organized to open a business.

I remember joking around and saying, I’ll be ready whenever Mum’s the Word (a local floral shop) is vacant.

Fast forward to 2019...

I canceled my wedding and decided to spend the money on myself.

I realized all the time and money I was investing in my relationship, needed to get invested into myself ... especially before I became a wife and mother.

I started traveling and adding more items to my collection. I even took a month off to find myself in Peru and Cuba.

Then, one day while mentioning I would love to have a store in Little Falls ... I found out Mums the Word is vacant.

I have always wanted to combine my passion for hair, traveling , and  helping others-all while promoting a non toxic lifestyle.

I wasn’t sure if I was ready to open a business yet, but what I am sure of was that I have money saved because I did just cancel my wedding. Also, my travel collection was cluttering my home and my room looked like Dexter’s Laboratory.

I only have a few products in the collection because my intentions were to just make this for myself and my friends. I started making my own deodorant & skin products when I went on a health kick 5 years ago . That’s when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Little by little my friends and family started using my products I made with love and the garden started blooming.

Traveling has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I was raised by my grandparents who were not gonna let me stop them from living their best life. Most kids went to Disney, Jess went to Mexico, Dominican Republic ( the campo side) and Honduras . My parents always made sure I brought extra clothes to donate to kids who weren’t as privileged as me. It’s kinda like they engraved this in me. I can’t help but to pack extra clothes when I travel so I can give them to someone in need.

As a hairstylist I have a natural urge to help others .

I know that my purpose is to make this world a better place.

I am forever grateful that my gift is to create with my hands and energy. I’m here to share it with you in hopes of forming a tribe of like minded people who want to help me make this world a better place.
